.. face it, you talk alot of shit too, and that whole thread on NG demanding a lifetme achievement was pretty pathetic. especially since your plan was to smash the thing, but thats a whole other story. And most likely just idol gossip..
but your problem is, even though you've grown as an artist you still aren't at the level where people appreciate your work. So you get pissy.. you blame everyone at NG for your shortcomings. when in reality its none of the users fault. theres alot of excellent flashes on the top 50 with incredible animation. so your theory about NG public is flawed.

Actually this is very wrong. F0d was constantly saying he didn't want the award and infact got after us for trying to recommend him for the award. He's a pretty modest artist actually.

wow you couldn't have got a more wrong impression about that whole ordeal. honestly, i had no idea people were nominating me in that thread until about 8 pages in. i didnt do any bitching of my own AT ALL. other SS members were the ones bitching.
i actually felt like shit after that thread. not because of the nominations, it was nice that so many people wanted me to get an award. and i was just joking about smashing the trophy, of course.
but i felt really bad after lauch said "DT400 is underrated and you are all faggots!" when tom read that, he frontpaged it. a few hours later, gavin said something racist in the same thread and it got taken off the front page faster than any other flash i've ever seen.
that was pretty crushing ive got to admit. it felt like the entire two months of work we all had put into it had gone to waste. it has only taken 6 months to release part 2 because we completely lost all motivation.
honestly, you feel really fucking inadequate when a flash that you slaved over gets a 3.2 after passing judgment. then, after several days of being ignored, it gets front paged, but only because some faggot was bitching at an admin about it. then they do so much bitching, it gets taken off the FP prematurely. i dunno to me it felt like the ultimate failure. i wouldve been happier if it hadnt got FP at all.

everyone at NG appreciate all the work you put into your flashes. but you can't demand recognition, because something funnier or simpler than what you created gets the spotlight.

face it, the first one is the only one thats true

the top 50 is good for the most part, but you can't deny that the flashes there now are simply not as good as some of the flashes that used to be there. all of the old classic flashes would peak at around 4.2, and now theyve been pushed out of the top 50 by this new generation of users that overrates everything videogame or newgrounds related into the 4.6 range.

anyways if i submitted my best material i could probably be in the top 50 myself. i just have no desire to please NG's target audience anymore. i know what works on NG and what doesn't work, and i simply do not want to conform to what works. consider my two flashes that have actually earned significant attention, WadeFulp Internet Badass and Ultimate Videogame Battle. that pretty much says it all right there. in order to make a popular flash, i had to leach off the popularity of something else that is more popular with NG users. in the 2 years since i made those, ive made way higher quality material that few besides SS members have noticed

regardless, my theory about the NG public doesnt concern the top 50. it concerns the judgment system, which is flawed beyond recognition. even you cant deny that
