this is basically already what its like. the exposure you get by simply submitting to the portal has plummeted. i look back on the first season of dailytoons. every single flash has 5000+ views and 30+ reviews. by season four, despite the series improving in quality, we were reduced to an average of 400 views and 2 or 3 reviews

it kind of reminds me of the 'youtube partners' bull. if you're a 'youtube partner' (basically achieved by sucking up to the staff, making crowd-pleasing material and whoring yourself out), the youtube staff excessively promotes your work in exchange for ad space and extra revenue. newgrounds is beginning to do something of the same route. people like ego, krinkles and slapp-me-do get extensive front page tours, t-shirts, sponsor money and god knows what else. everything else is pretty much shoved off in a corner
