First off, Bush is far from a dictator. Such a statement has moved well past hyperbole and into the realm of sheer ridiculousness.

Second, the dictators of the world are gluttonous megalomaniacs who live luxuriant lives while the people starve and die. Tyrannies have done nothing but harm and destroy the world.

The war ended a long time ago. Now, it's a matter of stopping civil unrest (to use a mild term) and creating a situation where it is possible to end the occupation without futher destabilizing the country.

Bush is not a dictator. He's not even close to having absolute power. Though, he certainly has expanded the breadth of the executive branch which is quite worrisome. He and a complicit congress have given him more power than he needs. And considering the types that are attracted to political office, the powers of the executive branch won't be shrinking any time soon. But is still quite far from unilateral control of everything.
