experimental techniques arent the same as the genre, the genre is a style, an experimental technique is a method of producing and wouldnt necessarily be labelled as experimental.

and the answer is both

i personally will be doing both experimental techniques and style. i have a few flashes that i spent a lot of time on but never wanted to submit as solo pieces, and i plan to submit them as a part of this series. they use experimental style, with strange and innovative new techniques, and experimental narrative, meaning it doesnt follow any conventional storyline and is more just about visuals and music.

in the series i have no problem with people making flashes with storylines or humor. as long as the animation looks non-conventional. same goes for people who want to experiment with different types of narratives but dont want to radically alter their style to something abstract.

i kinda wanna make a "must watch" list for the people who want to contribute to this. somebody's flashes are a perfect example of vague narratives that are still extremely experimental in both genre and technique. and, of course, anything made by notorious. "fishes" is a perfect example of experimental technique, "earthsick" is a perfect example of experimental genre. and can't forget newshape, i would say he has the most experimental style of anyone, and his narratives are so weird and great i dont know what to call them

i dont htink i have a ceftain flash that won me over, it was the slow process of talking to rtil a lot that made me realize that i was being gay about the ss hate i used to have

i wanted to have a 1950s suburban sitcom parody. a lil boy named timmy and his friend joey come running in after playin outside. the setereotypical housewife is in th kitchen. timmy goes "hey mom can we have some apple juice boxes please!" and joey goes "yeah that would be swell mrs. J!" the mom goes "of course you can, boys!" then she turns around, grabs a butcher knife, and slits timmy's throat. blood spurts all over joey and he starts cryin and the mom goes "THERES YOUR FUCKIN JUICE BOX FAGGOT DRINK IT UP"
