Who are your guitar heroes? Who do you look up to?

I know for me it's obvious Matt Bellamy:

And Kele Okereke:

Tomas Kalnoky of Streelight Manifesto, Catch-22 and Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution fame. while Ska guitar isn't challenging and he is certainly no Hendrix he writes music for all the instruments in his bands and as a guitar playing frontman not many can compare

also the guitar from Radiohead. ya know the guy who isn't Thom Yorke

I saw Streetlight support RBF the other day, Only support band I've ever seen get an encore.
And there is no-one but Thom Yorke in Radiohead. No-one.

those guys listed above + omar rodriguez-lopez, claudio sanchez, travis stever, taylor bortner, casey crescenzo. jeff mangum, kyle gass

although most of my heroes play other instruments!

vinexist · February 26, 2008 02:31 AM

Put down any musical hero then if you want, I'm not picky, let's go crazy.

Philip K Dick · February 26, 2008 02:37 AM

my #1 hero is cedric bixler-zavala

i based my looks after him

other than that i'd consider jack black, ozzy (when he wasn't gay), mufasa, mike patton, serj tankian (pre-solo days), all members of the mars volta, nobuo uematsu, and koji kondo all heroes of mine!
