Sup? My name (well, internet alias) is YungJazz. I'm relatively new to the animation game on Newgrounds, and trying to break down racial walls with my content. My last movie project was called NightGun, it got me a bit of attention, I know 30,000 views is nothing to some animators, even the 70,000 Magic Crack Rocks got me. Still aiming for NG's top 10. I just released a short Epilogue too.

Grew up in Detroit, Mi, been an artist my whole life. My style unintentionally resembles anime, which I very rarely watch. However, some with a good story like Cowboy Bebop and lots of sweet animation like Afro Samurai inspires me a lot. I just like having lots of detail in my movies, so it comes out moving like anime, but I'm working on turning it up a notch with the frame-by-frame since I hate watered-down drawings. It's a habit.

Anyways, rtil's one of the five or so NG animators I look up to as far as movies go, so thought I'd check out the site.

to rtil, yeah man, definately. I've been a fan of your stuff for awhile, I just realized you had a cool site too

to Grinace, I do like Avatar's character style. hah, u caught me

and to FGSpace & FreekC by racial walls I mean the normal black stuff on NG is something involving drugs or gangsterism, but I want to make a racially diverse series (with all races though, which I'm working into the true story of NightGun) that goes past that type of thing to something more sophisticated. I know I'm not the first minority animator heh

And that's cool Gerkinman, I guess I'll go ahead and explain it.

The bulk of noticeable black cartoons that end up on Newgrounds are crap that ends up in the Ghetto Collection because ma people want to "keep it gangsta". Me and my partner, Coldreaver, are making cartoons with black characters in more of a sci-fi action setting, something that's either A. Undone on Newgrounds or B. Didn't stand out enough to make it to the top spot. It's not walls that people have made for us, it's ones most of us chose to keep because of the gang culture. Simple as that. We're shooting it down.
