hey who here likes samurai jack

I just got all seasons on dvd, personally i think it's one of the best cartoon series cartoon network has ever pumped out. Great, long scenes of just a character wandering through beautiful landscape for long periods of time without any talking. Something you don't tend to find in children's cartoons anymore, instead of having the beauty be the animation, they just try to cram as much amusing dialogue or action in as possible. Which is why Samurai Jack was a great show.

I don't think I have to mention the style of it was excellent, the stories were pretty good too. The script was probably the lacking bit of it, but as i previously said, it wasn't all about talking and a lot of the time half an episode goes by without any talking at all.

lmao no. the "movie " is just the first 3 episodes played seamlessly. plans for a feature film have yet to be laid out

well genndy has always wanted to get into feature film and frederator said they'd fund the movie, so i'm assuming he still wants to do it. he even said he would

Aku ain't dead man, some other guy who played Aku died. Gennedy'll just get the REAL Aku.

Also, Samurai Jack is totally one of the best cartoons ever made. I have it all. I watch a episode a day usually. Samurai Jack is one of the few things that ever inspires me to finish commisioned and commercial-y work any more.

I work for a restaurant, and one guy owns all the locations and manages them all himself as a sort of CEO. He asked me last month to do a comemercial for a new restaurant he's starting. It's a chicken restaurant. And he had all these things in it he said HAD to be there, and I was like ugggggggggggh. But i took the list and started storyboarding, and I got so fed up, but I got some money in advance that I already spent, so I couldn't back out. And I was watching samurai jack, and as I was watchign I was thingkinh, "There HAD to be times when producers and the network made very 'strong suggestions' for stuff in this, and it's still the bomb," and i just had this epiphany or sorts and i realized I could still make something good even with my boss' really gay suggestions.

Samurai Jack was one of the best cartoons to watch ever. I thought Phil Lamarr got bored with it and went back to Hermes or Green Lantern or whoever else he does (Haha UBS guy). There's a whole bunch of other cartoons that kinda just stopped abruptly and was never heard of again...
