You know, I thought it might be something like that myself, but no one else mentioned it before you, haha, so I thought I was just being paranoid.

The sketchyness is half because I'm lazy and was just doodling, and half so that you're like "ugh this is muddy."

I'll try and keep em clearer in the future, but the sketchyness will still be there somewhat. I need pratice. A big inspiration of mine is Egon Schiele.

more like horror sketching

Well thick and heavy outlines, which I guess could easily be horror sketching and I do have a taste for horror/macabre stuff, could be stipulated as emo. But I still don't really see an emo thing about this at all. In fact, outside the tone, the content itself isn't truly negative in the slightest. They are dark though, but dark isn't really emo, not at all.

Take a look at the work of Giger, he did alot of horror sketching, but would you ever call it emo? I sure as hell hope not. Even Nightmare Before Christmas, which a bunch of fuckass emo's think they identify with, until you ask them about it, and they have no clue what the movie is about, is quite dark, and yet not emo. It is about dissastifaction, but it's more boredom and wanting to expand ones horizons than depressiong. It's like a mid-life crisis, where you go out and buy a Ferrari, not where you want to hang yourself or soemthing.


Anyway, I'm not emo. Not at all. In fact, I'm very happy. I live a fufilling life, and I live through doing what I love, which is movie stuff, and art stuff. I don't listen to emo music either, because, well, it's absolute shite, and I'll shank anyone who disagrees. Well if you go an call Nine Inch Nails emo, then I guess I listen to that, but to me you'd be a fool to say something like that. NIN to me, and to Trent Reznor and he'd know, is more like NBC, in that it's just about not being satisfied and being pissed off. Which isn't what I feel either, but it's something almost everyone will experience, because things aren't always perfect. Plus I love the industrial sound, haha.


K, to round this off. I just drew what I felt like drawing, and slapped random words on it. Yes it's dark, no it's not emo. At least, that's my opinion.
