Just remember the following

1. Get your build for your character off the internet by using the search terms "Min Max Boards" "4th Edition" "Broken"

2. If your DM seems to want you to go somewhere or do something it's probably a trap and you should encourage your party to do something else that has nothing to do with your GMs plans.

3. If you spot a door, chest, gem, lever, etc, it never hurts to be impulsive, especially if you can shove your party's halfling in the way when the trap goes off.

4. If your DM seems to be doing to much "plot exposition" and is boring you, it generally behooves you to simply kill the NPC thats speaking

5. Try to have imaginary sex with ALL the NPCs of every conceivable species. Who knows, the love child you had with that Blue Dragon might end up being your next character after your DM kills your current one out of sheer spite.

Just an update I'm finally done with my exams so the test game should take place sometime later this week.

Drawing your character is not required don't worry. What is required is a basic understanding of the rules it will just speed everything up in the long run.
