I have to commend Cialdini for engineering the persuasion techniques the Clinton campaign used to make the tax returns such a big deal, that and Trump's "risk" factor (even though trump isn't the person that destroyed the middle east for personal gain :^) )

i was busy watching orioles vs blue jays but from what i did see of the debate kaine was really annoying constantly trying to talk over pence, pence dismissed all of the bait and just talked policy which is really all he had to do. i think i get why trump picked him

not sure how big of an impact VP debates have on elections historically but it sounds like pence won this one convincingly
