So i sorta followed what you asked me rtil and I tried it.
did I do ok? I personally dont favor it but please lemme know what I should do to improve on it.

i didn't think that you'd keep the hatching but i think it's an improvement overall. once you do a layer merge and continue painting there are piece of the original linework that will start to fade away. but there are lines that i do think help define your painting, like around her fingers, the tip of her nose and pieces of her hair.
