Style: 1v1 BO1 Single-elimination bracket

Rules
The rules are set up to make games go as quickly as possible.

• Default game settings unless both players agree on different rules are as follows:


• Map size: Duel
• Map type: Pangea or Pangea Plus (if possible), Continents or Continents Plus (if possible), Random, Shuffle or Fractal
• Game Speed: Quick
• Game Era: Ancient
• World Age: 4 billion
• Difficulty Level: King
• Temperature: Temperate
• Rainfall: Normal
• Sea Level: Medium
• Resources: Standard
• Barbarians: on
• Victory Types: Domination, Science, Diplomacy, and Cultural
• Quick Combat & Quick Movement ON
• Turn Mode: Hybrid
• Turn Timer: Enabled, no longer than 120 secs
• If necessary, games can be saved and resumed at a later date. However, if the opponent who needs to play later cannot resume the game more than a week after pausing, their game will be forfeit and the other player will advance.
• No AI's can be in the game (besides city-states)

in a perfect world i'd want it to be BNW only, but i know for a fact not everyone has it. whoever you're playing with i guess will determine the lowest expansion. i don't mind g&k, but vanilla is pretty bad..

if you do have vanilla, let us know and maybe some of us can chip in to get you g&k at the very least. i'd be willing to help with that.

yeah i'm having a hard time wanting a forum troll in this. afaic he only comes here to spam and i have to delete most of his posts. if he doesn't want to participate in the community then he isn't welcome participating in this tournament.

Oh god I don't think I'm ready for this tournament, just ran a test game against the AI. Been playing on Marathon for so long...also I don't think I've ever beaten King difficulty, I get annoyed at the AI having a purely stats based advantage. Always stuck behind them by like ~200 score.

the difficulty in this tournament will only serve one purpose - your starting happiness. i don't think the city states will pose much of a threat to you as they will be the only AI you'll have to deal with in the game (unless you count barbarians)
