stuff i'm watching:
Amagi Brilliant Park - because Kyoani so at least it will have good animation
Kiseijuu/Parasyte - because it looks badass
Mushishi Zoku Shou S2 - because mushishi
Chaika S2 - first season was good
Ai Tenchi Muyo - not expecting much from this spinoff but i'll watch anything in the tenchiverse
Sega Hard Girls - the premise is too hilarious to pass up
Attack on Titan OVA 3 - covers the backstory of Levi, animation looks awesome
Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 Hoshi-Meguru Hakobune - a Space Yamato 2199 movie that takes place after the series. hopefully they can follow up such an amazing anime
Seitokai Yakuindomo OVA - hilarious & perverted slice of life
Sekai Seifuku ~Bouryaku no Zvezda~ Shin Zvezda Daisakusen - this spring show was cute, figure this unaired ep will be worth watching

i wanted to watch Ronja which has art and design from Ghibli but Polygon Pictures (of Knights of Sidonia) is animating it so it looks like a stupid video game cutscene

Sam beat me to it but Terraformars is shit. I picked up the manga because the premise sounded interesting but it's absolute garbage in execution. Nevermind that the roaches are just weird looking black people, the plot is hardly more than "Shit goes bad, everyone dies" in incredibly predictable fashion. Anytime a cute female character is introduced, expect her to get horribly eviscerated in less than 5 pages. The characters die off so quick there's no time to develop them and you end up not giving a shit when their heads get ripped off. It's awful, like the author wanted to copy Attack on Titan's success but has no fucking clue what makes a story good.

Might pick up Parasyte, heard good things about the manga. I'll check out the Ghibli anime and probably the Sega one too just to see what they're like, but overall this season looks pretty lackluster.

Read Parasyte/Kiseijuu, it was only 64 chapters. I expect them to do a decent job adapting it since they're getting 24 episodes. What I didn't realize before was that the manga is from the 90s so it's kind of odd that they're just adapting it now; the designs are noticeably updated from the old art style. I think the decision to adapt it 20 years later is probably due to the success of other horror anime we've been seeing lately. As far as the plot goes it's your typical "Guy gets weird power to combat monsters" but I particularly liked how it was played out, especially towards the end. Only one story arc was unnecessary.

It also looks like Shinji Mikami stole the monster designs for Resident Evil 4 straight from this series, but that's none of my business.

Fate, Psycho Pass, Mushishi.

Not sure how the Ghibli one's gonna turn out. The Story is pretty popular in Germany but has the studio ever done a series?

1st ep impressions:

Parayste - really good. it has a similar theme of Tokyo Ghoul except this is not shonen garbage and the main character reacts like you'd expect a normal human being to in his situation. not sure about the dubstep in the soundtrack, though. seems really out of place. Madhouse is killing it on the animation. the style is great as well.

Amagi Brilliant Park - Kyoani embraces the T&A and a bold MC for once. funny, interesting premise, good animation. looks like a keeper so far

Chaika S2 - picks up right where it left off. 1st season required viewing. i gave the first season an 8/10. Chaika a qt

Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works Episode "0" - Prologue to the events of the Rin route from the VN. obviously very high budget, doesn't give away too much, overall a lot better than any of the work DEEN did on F/SN. looks to be promising.

Sega Hard Girls - super low budget but really funny if you were a fan of Sega growing up. genuinely funny, which surprised me

Ai! Tenchi Muyo - five episode are released per week but they're only a few minutes long each. some of the old cast is starting to pop up in what looks like another one of Washu's time traveling schemes. so far a bearable spinoff of the Tenchiverse.

Mushishi starts this week.

i forgot about kokkuri-san , but i did watch it. it was stretched out too long and it got slow. there was also no music which was odd. i think it would be more suited for shorter episode formats.

SrsSam77

Akame ga kill is still doin bretty gud

how is psycho pass season 2, I need to know if I should break out my CUZ I FEEEEEEEEEEELLSSSS

rtil

not watching it so i have nothing to say about it

Fate Zero was pretty damn good... I really wonder how this one will torn out since they stick to an original route and they don't have Urobuchi on the team for this one...

Other than that: Yeah, KyoAni T&A... what the fuck? The first episode was enjoyable, but damn, the studio has lowered its standards a lot.

Pretty good first episode. Shows some growth since S1 and some rebellious signs in the main girl, which suggests an interesting development for the show. Also there seems to be a new antagonist who appears to have similar attributes as the old one but his motives aren't clear yet.
