surprised about the 3 year (!) timeskip. looks like it's going to be pretty dark as well. i guess the main villain is that earthbender they kept mentioning the name of at the end of book 3. earth kingdom sure is fucked up! she's probably in the red lotus, too. not quite sure what the motives will be, though.

i am really glad that korra is going to meet toph. i was waiting for her all last season.

I put off watching Season 2 onwards for the longest time. Recently relented and man I'm glad I did. Season 3 had a shit load of genuine tension. I hope this carries through to the final episodes.

Pity Nick is treating it like shit though. Assuming 3 & 4 were being worked on at the same time, that's a lot of content they were throwing out into the wilderness.

they have the gall to call it a ratings disaster when they were the ones who barely advertised for it. it really only gets exposure now through word of mouth and the tumblr page. they care more about sanjay & craig than korra.. god that hurts to type.

Wow. Three year time skip nothing, it feels like there was an entire season between this one and the last. So much has changed. I wonder if this last run is going to be at a break neck pace to cover everything they'd like.

and korra was only in it for like 2 minutes at most. she's hiding from everyone, she really doesn't think the world needs the avatar any more. i like her new cut

I want to believe in the Korrasami but I think of Bryke tried that Nick would def veto.

well that was a great finale. they wrapped it up very nicely with the double header. i thought the best part was when [spoiler]korra saved kuvira from her rogue spirit beam weapon[/spoiler], it really sent the message of the season home. and the feel good scenes at the end like [spoiler]varrick and zhu li getting married, and korra and asami going on a spirit world vacation together while holding hands, that's about as close to a canon korrasami as anyone could hope for[/spoiler]. that might have been my favorite korra ending, because the story was tied in through the previous season, and even stuff from the earlier ones. korra developed as a character more than anyone in ATLA imo. zuko a close 2nd, or maybe a tie. that's how much i liked it.

[spoiler]I mean, I had jokingly said to some friends that maybe Korra got pulled of air because Lesbians, but after the way they kept hinting at it and then that finale, I'm pretty much convinced avoiding any potential backlash was the reason. You kinda get the feeling they were going to kiss at the end, I wanted them to do it but I guess we'll have to settle for ambiguous. With the way Mako was looking at Korra at the end, I say they should go for the threesome  [/spoiler]

I'm really excited to see where Bryan and Mike will go after this now that they're free of Viacom. They come up with some pretty good ideas, so as long as they're backed by a talented team of writers I think they could do well with more creative freedom.

i wonder if nick will be gracious enough to let it go so they can take the avatar universe somewhere where it's wanted

You'd think with how shitty they've treated the series, they'd let it go, but realistically? I doubt they'd give it up. They'll either sit on it and not do anything with it for far too long, or try to recapture the original's success without Bryke and put out a soulless superficial copy.
