I was wondering if anyone on TBA has had any experience with said tablets?

I'm looking towards purchasing one but I have yet seen any videos towards animating, always Photoshop videos. They are a bit pricey but compared to the regular Cintiq it seems like a better deal, especially in portability.

As I said, never herd of anyone animating with them. I would like to, especially if there is the option of using the table as a monitor when the hardware has outdated.

it's a personal preference thing. you should really try before you buy. surfaces are on display at microsoft stores. cintiqs i have no idea. personally i don't like animating or drawing on tablets - the distance between the pen and the acrylic surface from the screen is too much, and my hand gets in the way. i don't think the surface is really designed for the precision needed for an animator, and wacom is coming out with a new tablet that's actually a pc as well, so that might be a better option to wait for.

I could give that a shot, I'll give best buy a visit. I'm pretty sure the Wacom tablet PC you are talking about is the Cintiq Companion, If not then I look forward to seeing it.

Wade is not gay, read his profile! It's sad that you would use sexual orientation as a joke, shows that you have no real sense of humor.
