the censored scene in question doesn't even violate the rating

Bamyasi

Yeah sort of like the breast slider/bikini/religious references in Xenoblade Chronicles X.

And the R. Mika ass slap/panty shot in Street Fighter V.

And the extra costumes/ecchi scene in Fatal Frame V.

And the panty raid/voyeurism quests in Blade & Soul.

And the costume/character age in Bravely Default.

Wouldn't want to offend anybody would we?

" its only bad when people censor things i like "

"He was shown the smallness and tinsel emptiness of the little Earth gods, with their petty, human interests and connections - their hatreds, rages, loves and vanities; their craving for praise and sacrifice and their demands for faiths contrary to reason and nature."

If you're trying to construe my argument as something so asinine, please try harder. Edit: WHOOP WHOOP I'm a fucking idiot.

I don't approve of any kind of censorship whatsoever. If someone wanted to make a game/cartoon/movie/whatever exclusively about raping and killing twinky white autistic manlets like me, they should have the right to do so without interference.

I also don't care what the intentions/conceivable negative effects of this are. The latter is pretty much negligible, considering it was like 15 frames (the same argument SJWs use with pixels), but it does significantly alter the artistic bent of the scene (not that most adult SU viewers care about anything but politics).

Nobody questions whether or not the fucking internet/capitalism at large (basically interchangeable) might have too much say in what artistic works may be produced, and what content they may contain. Consider how much attention the frames would have gotten if whiny traditionalist moms couldn't write letters or take to twitter every time they look away from their smartphones/navels to give their kid attention and possibly see something on the idiot box/LCD babysitter that doesn't align with their narcissistic/solipsistic worldview (which is basically the only way they know how to parent because they're so fucking stupid). Exactly the same could be said for social justice warriors: both actively limit what the artist (you) can do, in works they probably don't even enjoy.

It doesn't matter if it's a playful ass slapping taunt or a positive(?) representation of a homosexual relationship. Censorship is censorship, and it's always wrong.

I only posted it here because it might have the adverse effect of SJWs finally getting why censorshit is bananas.

TL;DR: Stop trolling me. Love you soup.

dude you got me wrong thats my exact same opinion. there is no middle ground as far as censorship is concerned so i believe its an all or nothing scenario. it wasnt even in relation to your post

my statement was aimed at the hypocrisy of sjws blowing up tumblr about the injustice of censoring steven universe when at the same time theyre the people promoting the censorship of other forms of media, the majority of which were mentioned in your list.

no tits / ass allowed but censor my lesbian space rocks??? how dare you

Unless

Quote from: People, on censorship of Steven Universe
[General concurrence that all censorship is wrong at all ever in general.]
The show is rated Universal, and the censorship board decided that this scene was too sexually suggestive. It probably wouldn't have been censored if it were a straight couple in question, but it definitely wouldn't have gotten this much attention if it had been because then it's just an issue separate from homosexuality being seen as inappropriate.

Obviously it's okay for them to censor sexually suggestive content because sex is bad and we can't have children growing up thinking that romance is normal or okay.

Do ye disagree with the concept of them censoring explicit sex scenes from a Cartoon Network show with a Universal age rating?

rtil

a show with a universal age rating wouldn't have explicit sex scenes

True, which would make sense as a reason to avoid answering the actual question if it were stand-alone and didn't have another point to it, which isn't the case.

OC for the thread I guess:

Who let the stupid in.

Ratings should be based on content, not the other way around. If there's objectionable content, change the rating. It's that simple.
