Daft Punk's new single reached #1 in 45 countries already for iTunes' charts.

Edit-

I saw that video earlier and it made me laugh.

Edit-

Daft Punk - Get Lucky ft. Pharrell Williams (First Live Performance HD @ HTC live)

This "live performance" is hilariously bad. I can't believe this is even considered a live performance to anyone.

mgmt released a song on the same day, and honestly i'm more psyched for their album now

MGMT- Alien Days (Studio Version HD)

Aren't house and garage music direct offshoots of disco? I'm no expert on dance music, so I may be misinformed. Perhaps "origins" don't matter so much when the musicians in question are so popular? What's more, I don't even know if Daft Punk uses those labels I mentioned in describing their music. I admittedly only know about this act from their work with Matsumoto, and even so I think the visuals in Interstella 5555 made more of an impression on me than the music did.

As far as what I've heard from the forthcoming CD, I'm not really sure what to think. I'm sure hoping it delivers, for the sake of legions of fans that would otherwise be disappointed.

because daft punk rocks
They certainly did on their last CD, and I don't think it earned them very much praise.

Daft Punk explains at least a little from each of the thirteen songs from their new album. Surprisingly, there's only one electronic song on Random Access Memories. o_O Worth mentioning this was translated with Google Translator so some of this information might be inaccurate.

Edit-

Fixed my link.

turns out the 4:08 leaked one was indeed the real thing - but it's still a radio edit. full length track is 2 minutes longer

this is good

NICE.

While I'd much rather see a CD rip make it onto the internet early, a vinyl rip would be good too. Curious about your source though.

rtil

a what.cd power user with a good set-up and some rips to his name

he could just be lying, but i'm sure he's hungry for that 2TB bounty on the torrent request

W.A.C.

What user claims he'll have a rip of the album on May 5th or the following day? I just searched the site and couldn't find his post or comment.

rtil

that's because it's buried in the comments on the actual request. i'm not going to go bother to find it again
