not bad. looks like you learned a bit on color.

mmmmm im not so sure, it doesn't feel pleasing when i look at it, it feels like im doing something wrong...  i'm hoping for a more realistic feel to it, if anyone knows a good tutorial or videos, anything regarding color please tell me,  i'll try to find other ones myself

some ambiance and bounce light from things like the sun and the things around the characters may have helped. when you've done a lot of color work, try making a layer above everything, set the transfer mode to 'color', get a big soft brush and start laying down some ambient light in certain areas. you'd be surprised how much it can enhance the color

one issue i think is that you are treating everything with the same kind of texture, like the hair, grass, clouds, cloth, is all painted the same way, with some minor exceptions.

the atmospherics is pretty nice.as you go further away you dont need to do things like paint individual things of grass though.

compositionally this is really weak. too much empty space. i also don't think it's wise to mimic ego's style just because you're animating to their voices. you need to focus on strengthening your own unique animation style, not someone else's.

but if this is just a mere dialogue test, and i merely used Ego's style on this 1 animation

but nothing.. i get that it's a dialogue test. that doesn't mean it's ok to use a bad style and have bad composition. for a dialogue test you should be focusing on the upper body character animation, the mouth , the face and the jaw. the characters are too tiny, they don't have pupils and they don't have jaws. there is some good movement in this but it could have been better.

I like it, I think the little details on Arin while he's playing as Jon's doing his monologues. Although I feel like the mouths slur a bit in the beatmania part, it's a very good experimentation. I feel like you captured their personalities in the little details you did.
