I was trying to imagine what it must have been like for the teacher. How do you grade something something like this?

Credit where credits due, I couldn't animate something this long in 3 months. I don't have the patience or drive to ever even attempt anything like that.

Credit where credits due, I couldn't animate something this long in 3 months. I don't have the patience or drive to ever even attempt anything like that.

i would've failed him, because in all aspects it is the quintessential definition of failure on a grand scale. 3 months of work creating 15 minutes of absolute garbage, not one moment of it redeeming. by all means it's pretty impressive to fail that hard. the guy can't draw or animate, doesn't understand perspective, pacing, composition... really anything that you need to create a cartoon. and to top it off the premise is creepy and the main character is totally unlikable. the only way someone would pass him would be out of pity because he worked so hard on it, but i feel like that would be giving him false hope that he actually made something good. then you've just created another delusional artist, and that's just irresponsible

I dunno, I think we need creators like this. Whenever I feel bad about my own work I can watch things like this and feel good in the fact that Im not THAT bad. If everyone was amazing I wouldn't have anything to make me feel better about myself :P

well sure, there will always be people who make crap like this, but that doesn't mean we can't make fun of them. not like it ever stopped them from continuing to make crap (see: tom preston)
