It's been announced that Nico Nico Douga will be streaming the TV anime series, Black Rock Shooter, worldwide with subtitles in eight languages beginning February 3rd. The anime will be premiering on the Noitamina timeslot on February 2nd.

Black Rock Shooter will available every Friday at 11pm in the following countries:

English: United States, Canada
French: France, Belgium, Monaco, Switzerland, Andorra
Italian: Italy
German: Germany
Spanish: Spain, Mexico, Chile, Argentina
Korean: South Korea
Traditional Chinese: Taiwan
Simplified Chinese: Mainland China, Singapore

if i remember correctly, the OVA was pretty much an introduction, like a long pilot. So yeah, go watch it .

It's really hard to judge what's behind this show... I noticed a huge hype of anticipation about it going on recently but I am a little sceptical.
I have never seen the ova which is supposed to be the prequel of this series because its rating was rather average.

According to my information, though, the franchise is a project, based on a song or, to be more precise, a music video of that song, and is therefore, luckily, not another weird attempt to animate an unfinished manga into a series that won't come to a conclusion and therefore flop. Hence, this might actually become interesting.
The style very roughly reminds me of Shaft, but we will see how much of that standard they can keep up...

Anyway, I'll definitely look into this

So does she have any relations to Miku Hatsune? Cause they look similiar in design, but in very different universes.

black rock shooter is just a really popular ova that i don't know very much about

black rock shooter was originally just an illustration that inspired a music video called black rock shooter by hatsune miku, then it was turned into an ova, then it was an anime.

also the first episode of the anime was pretty cool. 3d animation was nice and the pacing was really fast but i guess that makes sense since it's only 8 episodes.
