So appearently the website my employers used was a free one made from a template by Quicken. And they dont have access themselves to the server information.

Whats a good place to purchase server space for a small business liquor store?

Okay so were about ready to purchase some server space. Im thinkin we dont need a dedicated IP.

Your host is the one you prefer right? Why didnt you choose GoDaddy.com or somethin like that

Also whats it mean to only be allowed 1 Domain hosted? Does this mean I can only do like enchantedwines.com and cant purchase enchantedwines.org or something to that effect? Or does it mean something completely different?

Im asking to see if we can go Budget or Basic

i'm not sure what you mean by "godaddy.com or something like that" - i will just assume you are asking why didn't i pick something that is the first thing that might come to mind. well if you spend even as little as 5 or 10 minutes doing a little research you'll find godaddy has horrible customer service and tries to sneak in as many hidden fees as possible (which is why their hosting is so dirt cheap). basically, you get what you pay for.

plus, godaddy didn't have shitty commercials running on tv all the time back when i bought this website.

hostforweb is the shared hosting i've been using for about 6 years now and i have had no problems with them, and their customer support is excellent. i'm a little disappointed they added the obviously untrue "unlimited" space/bandwidth options that so many shared hosts have, but it hasn't affected uptime as far as i've noticed.

and yes, 1 hosted domain means you cannot have a .com and a .org. you should really buy the basic service so you have more options open to you. it's extremely cheap, i don't see why it wouldn't be affordable for a small business.

Alright after uploading it and seeing how long it took to get it runnin, I probably need all the help I can get!

You think you can create a center div layout for this Rtil? It would be an enormous help! I tried but couldn't figure it out. But you've got way more experience.
As a side note, how it loads (slow) is kind of annoying too but I'm not sure if there's anyway to fix that other than getting rid of larger files (The flash file but my employer wanted something animated like that at the top showing the store)

The bullets for the buttons could probably go. The grape buttons could have less weird colors, I don't consider them grapes anymore.

sure i could. you know what would actually be quicker is if you could give me ftp access, i can just go in and put it in there myself, then you can take a look at the source code and see how i did it. you could msg me on skype or something and i could do it in like 15 minutes

And the colors for the grapes are the colors of different varietals. I thought having them all the same color looked kind of boring, but if the colors still aint workin then I suppose I could have another look at em when I have time. and yea the bullets could probably go.

Almost done now. Is there any way to have a roll over swapping image be larger (dimension-wise) than the source image?

In other words, can I hover my cursor over an image and have it swap to a larger version of the image without using Flash?

Right now it swaps to my other image but it resizes itself to the dimensions of the source image.

yes, you can do it with javascript. you'll want to get the jquery library and then look into that specific effect, there's gotta be at least a dozen different jscripts that do what you're looking for
