atheism is not a belief, it is a lack of belief. there is agnostic atheism and gnostic atheism, but they still follow the same principal - a lack of belief in religion, the supernatural or any type of deity.

there is no faith involved in atheism, and it is a logical fallacy to say that it is anything like a belief. to say, for example, that an atheist can only believe there is no god because it is impossible to disprove the existence of god. it's absurd to say that and if you accept its absurdity you admit that nothing can be disproved and anyone can believe anything so long as it cant be disproved.

yes, there could be something and there is much about the universe we don't understand or know. but that does not require that we believe in something that has no basis to exist.
