Caving In

Hey guys, I know this is largely an animators forum but since I'm shit at drawing I thought I'd show you some of my music instead.

This is a work in progress technically but I'm almost done with it. Let me know what you think, all advice/criticism appreciated.

Thanks (:

i really like it. i also listened to 'brick by brick' and i liked the chorus where the high synth comes in. i'm not a musician so i can't really offer any criticism, but it'd be awesome to see these finished. if you ever release an album i can feature it :)

I like your style and work. Its all very nice sounding material. Unfortunately, I can't offer any criticism.

the flanger effect on the drums is annoying. the drums sound like they've been badly doubletracked.  i was expecting the effect to fade after a meter - you should cut the effect shortly after the drums come in. personally i'd get rid of it altogether. the track doesn't have much of a progression and jumps around a lot. it sounds messy and underwhelming. especially when it fades out with no real conclusion, even after a cool breakdown with effects that are actually appropriate for the instruments. the rain/ambience seems to fit the mood but it should have a lower volume in the mix.

pretty much this ^

needs more variety imo. to me it just sounded like you took a drum loop sample, cut it up a little and put it over a basic and over used chord progression: F, C, G, D
