Hey everyone! The Livestream tracker page has gotten a big update. I've coded in a system to track average users, peak users and hours of the day that a livestream is online. Right now the data is sparse because I just put it up, but you can see what it might look like on the stream i tested & put artificial data in - TheBackAlleys Starcraft II channel.

This will help streamers know what their average viewership is and help viewers know what are the best hours to think about checking up on their favorite streams.

Also, I have begun collecting data when a stream goes live so that I can include more advanced statistics in the future. As the stream list goes as well I am thinking about introducing a search/filter feature. Again, if your stream isn't listed and you'd like it to be, please post it here! And let me know what you think of the new features, as well as other features you'd like to see.

For the record, data is only collected when a stream is online. Statistics are collected every 2 minutes except for the stream hour averages, which are collected hourly (surprise surprise).

another minor change - streams are now default sorted by last 30 days activity, and then sorted again by total minutes. so all those streams that haven't been used in the last month are now in order of most total use to least. i figure that is more fair to the people who occasionally use their streams to the people who really haven't used theirs at all.

thanks crabarms

and cvg brought this to my attention if it wasn't already obvious - this thing doesn't look right in non-current versions of IE, this would be IE8 and lower.
