I like how nintendo keeps trying to reinvent gaming. That's not even sarcasm. So far they didn't succeed most of the time but eventually they will some day and that's the right step to go imo. Don't want to be stuck with controller or mouse+keyboard forever, i want some cool glasses that you can wear and feel like you're inside the game that would be cool.

First, it needs more titles on it that I don't already have (or would prefer) on my other consoles. Then, I need to see more of the controllers uses in action. Last, I need a price. It's clearly going to be expensive, but maybe if the titles that come along with it as time moves forward are GOOD, then I'll get it--or maybe I'll just wait till Microsoft and Sony get their new consoles out in the open. I feel like it's a bit to early to be buying a new console anyway... either that or I feel like I just haven't done anything with my Wii for the past few years. The big thing for me is the variety of games that'll come with it, I guess. If it ends up having the same "variety" that the Wii had then NOPE.

But Skyward Sword looks so fun... I kind of want it. I haven't played a Zelda game since Wind Waker. :I

nintendo have practically abandoned the wii now (and with good reason), hopefully skyward sword will be a sort of last hurrah sleeper hit. kinda like how majora's mask was on the n64

it looks cool and with a lot of potential/ REALLY glad 3rd parties with more "hardcore games" are interested in it (might be the first time in a very long time where nintendos gotten any real support from 3rd parties outside a few underground gems and mostly garbage) / dunno about price, or how controllers will be supported and all and wish they would give more details/ am hoping that some promising software for it is announced in the next 6 months
3ds didnt seem worth buying and gimmicky and kind of silly and pointless, but with ocarina out in a few days and mario 3d/ the estore/ kid icaras/ luigis mansion 2/ mario kart coming out before the year ends (im pretty sure they all are) i really should get around to picking it up

this stupid controller is a horrible idea when you realize that only one tablet controller may be used with the console at any time. what's the point of putting things on a secondary screen? so you have to look down to see the map/menu? you still have to avert your eyes from the main screen so why not just put these things on a pause menu like every other game?

also all the footage shown running on it was 720p30 with no anti-aliasing. it looks to be pretty much as powerful as a 360 or ps3. and it isn't coming out until late 2012. what's the point? mario and zelda i guess, but unless nintendo prices the wii u VERY competitively (they won't, look at the 3ds) i can't see myself buying one. the 360 came out in 2005. before long microsoft and sony are going to unveil their next gen consoles and wii u is going to be another overhyped piece of shit.

Or perhaps not. The Zelda demo, or "HD Experience" as Nintendo calls it, is almost certainly running at a native resolution of 720p, with no anti-aliasing and seems to be locked at 30 frames per second with v-sync engaged (subsequently verified with a good look at a 60Hz feed taken from G4's broadcast coverage of the event).
