listen to how repetitive the music is aaaaaaaaaaa
look how shitty the animation on EVERYTHING is LOOK AT THE FUCKING SMOKE ON THE SCREECHING TIRES IT JUST STAYS (another note, this smoke and screeching happens randomly and dramatically affects your turning (not that you could anyway). sometimes itll happen and sometimes it wont.)
look how bizarre the items are (instead of shells there are pumpkins/ what is that hood shit? is that like the ghost in mario kart? but you dont take an item? i mean what/

another thing to note: the instruction manual contains NOTHING to help you. everything you had to pretty much figure out on your own.

in conclusion: fuck this game. it beats big rigs for title of worst racing game simply because that game wasnt  finished. this is a full finished product that was widely distributed based on a popular movie franchise. this was funded my a major studio to be produced. also, its shrek. fuck you shrek.

Yeah it really is a horrible game. Your caveman runs like 4mph and the randomly falls asleep every couple on mins for no reason (EVEN as you are running or hitting an animal or doing something else, BLAM the polygon figure becomes immobile and falls on its face snoring) and you can't wake him up either, so you just sit there with the controller in your hands staring at it snore for like 3 mins until it stands up again and you run some more on a green wasteland with no objects,trees, or landscape...then more mins go by and he goes back to sleep again. Also if you see ANYTHING like a bad guy in the distance it can hit you once and you instantly die because there is no health meter...and then you start back at camp and wherever you were on the map (like the one hour you ran to get on the other continent, you have to do that ALL OVER AGAIN to get back there). The game really really sucked

other really good games i'd call my faves:

yoshi's island - best platformer ever motherfuckers plus actual tactics are used in the boss battles. unlike most other mario games where you just jump on shit to win. its a shame yoshi's story was awful

advance wars 2 - everything about this is gold. its a simple strategy game on the surface but delve past the first few missions and holy fuck you will not be able to stop playing - the game is deceptively tactical and deep. i used to be fairly impatient with strategy games, but thankfully AW2 moves along at a steady pace. also the CO you choose will affect your battle pretty dramatically, and there's like 16 to choose from

streets of rage 2 - 2 player co op on this is still fun. the other two SoR games aren't so great nowadays but this one is still a gem

viewtiful joe - kickass visual style. pretty much a modern streets of rage with a speed-up/slow-down gimmick

outrun 2006 - outrun is dated as fuck now so sega updated it with a slick modern sequel. i used to play this in the arcades all the time

final fantasy 9 - the only FF i'll still probably play, the plot and characters are interesting, everything moves quicker than normal FF games and the main quest thing is huge. plus it still looks decent for a PS1 game

tales of phantasia - awesome battle system, hilarious unofficial translation (snes version), cool sprites

gunstar heroes - just really fun best co op ever

banjo kazooie - rare at their peak. reason to get an n64 along with ocarina, goldeneye, mario kart. shame it was all downhill a few years after they released this.

battle circuit - really fun '97 capcom beat em up with over the top characters. pretty much as good as they got to perfecting the 'final fight' formula. you fight an elvis impersonator boss at one point.

war gods - remember when mortal kombat was cool the first time round? eventually it became uncool so midway ripped themselves off and created this god awful fighter for the arcade. but even worse than the arcade game was the shitty n64 port just take a look! plus one of the characters is called 'kabuji jo' and he looks like ronald mcdonald

Best: Starcraft II (current most played by me for months and a professional sport in South Korea and now the US.)
Favorite: Pokémon Silver (ate 90% of my childhood. the other 10% was consumed by other Pokémon titles and Paper Mario.)
Worst: Sonic Heroes (i'm sure there are worse Sonic titles, but i haven't actually had the misfortune of playing them. i actually felt embarrassed playing Sonic Heroes. it's one of those games you don't want other people to watch you play through, not even as a joke.)

Best: Team Fortress 2 (it used to be functional and really fun and not visually distracting before they added a plethora of terrible items. the game is kind of a turnoff now)
Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Brawl (pure fun with some competitive value)
Kirby's Adventure (basically has everything you can like about a platformer)

Favorite: Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid 4 (not the best games, but i've always liked how Kojima tells stories, even if it's sometimes way overly wordy. i feel like the power of his symbolism is unmatched in any game i've ever played)
Yume Nikki (just play this one and see what I mean)
Pokémon Soul Silver, Pokémon Platinum, Pokémon Emerald (all probably the most 'complete' Pokémon games)
Portal 2 (much better and funnier than Portal, it was a pleasure to play through twice)

Worst: to be honest I don't actually buy a lot of videogames. When I do, it's because I already played it beforehand at a friend's house or saw a trailer or because it was part of a series i really liked already. so because of that i don't actually really have a lot of bad games, but if i had to pick another one it'd be
Shadow the Hedgehog (another really bad, confusing Sonic game. another one you have to play through to understand the shittiness)
others might include every rerun of a madden game and the majority of movie cashcow games (literal example: BARNYARD: THE GAME)

there are other ones i really want to play but haven't yet so i'm sure this list will change

this isnt really the worst game ever but i think it deserves a honorable mention for being so BAD and so popular during its time of release.

its a game that i loved as a kid, but only now do i realize how poorly crafted it is.

This game is poorly written, poorly programmed, poorly voice acted, the enemy colissions dont work and the level designs are often awkward and go against logic. And it is one of the few games that ive ever played with Agressively obvious bad animation.

Sonic adventure 2. i believe, probably incorrectly, this is where the sonic franchise started getting really damn bad

I mean look at these fuckin cutscenes with horrible lipsinc somehow i dont believe that the animation fit even with the original voice cast.

LOOK AT HOW NONE OF THE CHARACTERS EVER FINISH THEIR OWN LINE OF (already stupid) DIALOGUE BEFORE THE OTHER ONE  STARTS TALKING. its nearly always leaving a big gap of silence or theres two characters talking at the same time OR the music is too loud and you cant hear what theyre saying. this seems to be more frequent with eggman
