right click on the emulator and go to runtime info>joystick mode>NONE then go to options and check use persistent storage

controls 8 4 6 2 to move 5 stops the guy. num lock searches the ground once while standing. + raises the volume - lowers it. Backspace will drop an item (why would you do this?) space bar will kill everything on screen if you have a lightning bolt. alt will fire a sword. F3 will go into the control panel or alternatively escape.

note that i have not yet figured out how to save this game and it is very annoying because if you die once you have to start over from the first level AND THERE ARE NO CONTINUES. NONE. making the only option to redo the game over and over so that you're so good at it (which i am not) or you will never get hit (which is impossible) or to somehow save on one of the other 1000 disks on the emulator ill figure out someday i guess.



*this is an emulator for apple IIgs games which is an old computer from the 1980s but was very powerful at the time. it had A LOT of games on it and i played a metric shit ton of them. it is a emulator of a computer so try every key on your keyboard when trying games.

i can't get past the first room in gate. i said "yes" to the guy, i said "death to darg!", i tried dropping items, i tried getting out of the room, anything i could think of.

this is really frustrating to use because figuring out different controls for every game is near impossible
