<--really similar to my old ways unfortunately.

Some of you may remember me as the douchebag that tried to defend stick animation. Well, you were all completely right. But i'm trying to put that behind me now and i've really been trying to animate actual characters (go figure). But yea, that would be fantastic if you could all tell me whats wrong with all of these.

rtil

that site is giving me a 500 error

if these are swf's you can post these here, or upload them on thebackalleys.com/ok/public/ and use the [ flash ] tag

zomfgbie

well for starters, they don't appear to exist
i am dead

<+wwchicken> once i walked into the kitchen and there was a sound
<+wwchicken> but i could only hear it when i stood on one spot in the kitchen
<+wwchicken> then i turned off the light
<+wwchicken> and it was gone
<+wwchicken> then i turned the light back on and there it was again
<+wwchicken> so i thought, its an invisible alien
<+wwchicken> but hes scared of the dark

I think they are fairly decent.
One of the arms felt a little odd in the end of the loop in the second one. even if it was on perspective.

in the third one, there is some REALLY REALY FAST timing, wich most people use in order to be plain lazy and make a lot of mistakes that arent really noticeable, I cant really judge you on that since its just the outline thing but try not to go "OMG ZO FAST" and draw less frames or crappier frames. I dont think you will.

gluck!

Michelle

wow lookit that

third one- when you kick i hope to god your leg doesn't actually move upward like that. i'm not big on fighting or leg action but i would think the leg would just "jut out" or at least recoil on contact.

Clutch

yea that kick didn't turn out very well.

rtil

the first and second ones are pretty solid. the 3rd one has some strange drawings and the timing is a little too fast. you're on your way though

Ying

in the third, when we cut to the shot when we kick, his foot is huge in comparison to the other person's head.

the second and especially the first were a joy to watch.

#9
on the whole theyre pretty good, but why are you such a violent man? stick figures work well in fighting cartoons cause 12 year old kids like cartoon fighting and stick figures respectively

work on some basic action. walking, running, falling, jumping. also facial expressions

a huge improvement from your previous work though!

yeah what freaksy said

It is way harder to animate normal paced actions than fast-ass like these

Zwickel

Oh I like #1 and 2, cool stuff
