Quote from: YungJazzmedabots, fighting foodons and the digimon movie were the shit. but fuck bakugan and naruto.

The digimon movie was good i guess, judging from the animation. Got this simple but still massive load of animation sequences. The style is very similar to the one they used in the medabots series. Not really into that series though.

Oh yeah, my turn:

Digimon (1/2/3 + movies, japanese btw)
Hajime no Ippo
GTO
Shonan Junai Gumi
Kirby of the Stars

btw i think this has been done before. But uh, i guess we're supposed to RECOMMEND anime shows here so whatever.

Edit: naruto is da stinker f
<GreatRapperLenkazuka> lmao

I miss watching anime so I will share with you my favorites!!!

For those of you with not a lot of time to devote to anime

Area 88 - The 80's three part OVA. There was a recent remake, but it was around 12 episodes or so and the plot was dragged out and lost a lot of intensity. It's about a dude who gets tricked into signing up for a cut throat mercenary jet fighter unit and can't bail out until he makes $1.1 million in missions while his asshole friend tries to mack on his girl while he's away. One of my absolute favorites of all time.

Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien - 14 episodes and very depressing. It's actually based on a hentai game but has no hentai in it, it's a very serious story. The first episode might be a bit of a turnoff as it seems like a typical dating anime, but the 2nd episode will explode and shit spirals into crazy directions. It's an incredibly melancholy anime but a pretty engaging story.

Di Gi Charat - I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this! It's a 16 episode series, each episode only about 10 minutes long. It's really wacky extroverted Japanese humor, but strays away from that very stereotypical cutesy Japanese humor.

Tenshi ni Narumon - One of my favorites of ALL time. This is a charming, hilarious, interesting series I really suggest everyone here watch. The humor and even the art is very cartoon-like at times, but Japanese storytelling and humor permeates into it having this delightful mixture of cultures. The soundtrack is fantastic, the animation is great, the story is great, the humor is great, I love this series. There's an entire episode about farting.

For those of you looking for a long anime EXPERIENCE

Hikaru no Go - One of the most intense animes I've ever seen. You'll be hooked, trust me. It's like 80 something episodes long. It's an anime about the Japanese board game, Go. Yeah, I laughed too, I made fun of it. But my GOD I actually sat down to watch it and it is one of the best animes I've ever seen. Give it a chance, you'll be glad.

Airmaster - It's a 27 episode anime about a former gymnast street fighter named Maki who is legendary on the streets as the "Airmaster," a street fighter who seemingly flies. It's very unconventional both as an anime and as a TV show which is strange because of how much it lends itself to abundant fight scenes. It's fun, intense, and wacky all at once. There are a few GLARING anime cliches, namely in two characters, but they are irrelevant to how awesome this series is.

The Vision of Escaflowne - 26 episodes of pure awesome. I learned recently that the series aimed to blend the Shojo and Shonen genres together into a really epic story, and now that I think back that's one of the best ways I can think to describe it. It's an incredibly moving, dramatic story with no bullshit filler. Do not watch the movie, though.

And I'm trying to go a little off the beaten path, but this absolutely needs mentioning:

Full Metal Alchemist - If you've stayed away from this series because of the FUCKING IDIOT fans, you're missing out on one of the most well written, cohesive, touching animes I've ever seen. There really is a reason there are so many crazy fans, and it's because every godamn character in that show is so incredibly likable. It's one of the very few animes that really understands what the fuck's up when it comes to drama and suspense. There's none of that cliché drawn out anime bullshit. It's all wicked spot on storytelling with these incredible characters and an AMAZING sense of self-awareness. There's no shark jumping part where you think back and remember how the point of the series was completely different and all the characters had ambiguous motives. Everything is solid, totally focussed throughout. From beginning to end you'll always feel a very real sense of togetherness. I'd watch it over and over again because it's really just THAT good.

These are my suggestions. I hope you check them out.

Cool, did you know that we might be wearing school uniforms next year? Uniforms for dress code at our school is an excellent idea. Our principal should definitely enforce this dress code because, it would be easier to pick out clothes in the morning, there would not be any back-to-school shopping hassles, and kids won't be judged by how they dress.
First, it would be easier to pick out clothes in the morning. When kids wake up sometimes they can't decide what to wear. When you have a uniform, you do not have to decide on anything but the pants. Another reason is it won't take as long to get dressed, and you won't be late to school. When you wake up your clothes might not be washed or dried yet. You will either be late to school or be wearing wet clothes all day long. You also wont have to buy as many new clothes. Your parents won't have to go to the store and buy you new shirts; they will only have to buy pants and shoes.
My next reason is, there will not be any back to school shopping hassles. Your parents won't have to buy knew clothes every time you grow out of your old ones. You will only need to buy about four or five pairs of pants. Your parents won't have to go through a humungous crowd just to get you t he style of pants or shirt you want. For example, your parents won't have to be bumped, pushed, or shoved or anything of that sort. Last, you won't have to try on as much clothing as you usually do. You will not be in and out of the fitting rooms every time you find a shirt or pair of pants that you like.
My final reason is, you won't be judged by the clothes you wear. Everyone will be wearing the same clothes that you are, so it will not matter. Nobody in the class can say you do not look nice in the uniform because they are wearing the uniform to. Finally, nobody will be distracted by what you wear. Say we do not have uniforms, kids could wear a hot pink shirt with dark purple polka-dots, and everyone will be staring at that person instead of paying attention to the teacher.
In conclusion, there are several reasons to have school uniforms such as; it would be easier to pick out clothes in the mornings, there wouldn't be any back-to-school shopping hassles, and kids will not be judged by how they dress. I really hope you consider this wonderful idea.
The part I researched, which has only one name, is the pancreas. The pancreas is an organ that produces digestive juices necessary to break down food. It also produces insulin and glucagons. Insulin and glucagons are two hormones needed to break down sugar and to regulate our metabolism. The pancreas provides a lot of power to the body. For example, it allows you to eat many foods and allows your body to feed your cells the energy they need. It also allows you to exercise without decreasing your blood sugar. As you can see the pancreas has a lot of jobs, without the pancreas it would be difficult to live

Organization in the Body

If you didn't have a pancreas you would have to give yourself hypodermic shots everyday for the rest of your life. The pancreas is part of the digestive system. Organs located near the pancreas are the stomach, the small intestine, the liver, and the gallbladder. The stomach's function is to digest and store food and the small intestine and it is used for digestion and the absorption of nutrients. To absorb nutrients, take out poisons, and produce bile you need the liver, and to store that bile you need the gallbladder. The pancreas is located deep in the abdomen between the spine and stomach. It is partially behind your stomach but the other part nestles in the curve of the duodenum.

The digestive juices in the pancreas flow through a duct to the duodenum into the small intestine. The digestive juices contain water and salts which help the digestive process and to neutralize stomach acids. Enzymes are also contained within the digestive juices; they help to break down fat, starches and proteins. Scattered throughout the pancreas lie small groups special of cells, which are called the islets of Langerhans. These cells send the hormones directly into the bloodstream. There are several types of isles cells, for example alpha cells, and beta cells. Insulin is produced by beta cells. Throughout the bloodstream insulin travels to cells. It gives the ability to take glucose from the body. Glucose is a simple sugar, which is the main source of energy for cells. If the body makes too little sugar a disease called diabetes is formed. The alpha cells contain secrete glucagon. Glucagon makes the liver release glucose. Glucose and insulin act as a team to maintain glucose at a safe level. In conclusion Cells main energy is glucose. When exercising cells use up glucose, when glucose is low the liver forms more, insulin helps cells consume it to use as energy. To survive without the pancreas you would have to give yourself hypodermic shots daily.

Medical Conditions

Diabetes is a disease that is triggered by the pancreas. There are three types of diabetes, Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes. Type one is usually diagnosed in children, this happens when the pancreas cannot produce insulin. 10% of Organisms with diabetes have Type 1. Type 2 is when your body doesn't produce enough insulin, or when the body does not use the insulin properly. Type 2 usually develops on adults. 90% of diabetics have type 2. Gestational is a temporary type of diabetes, which is during pregnancy. IT affects 2-4% of all pregnancies; there is a high chance for the mother or child to get diabetes. There is no cure for diabetes but there are ways to control it. You can take shots of insulin before each meal or before doing exercise. Another form of this is a pump. A small tube is inserted into your body. When you need insulin you tell the pump to activate and the insulin is put into your bloodstream. If your diabetes is mild you can control it with a strict diet and oral medication.
Another medical condition of the pancreas is pancreatic cancer. Did you know that pancreatic is the fifth leading cancer death in the world? It is estimated that 28,000 Americans will die this year because of pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is called "The challenge of the 21st century since pancreatic cancer is very common but very hard to treat. First of all it is hard to know when you have pancreatic cancer because it is so deep in the abdomen. Until the tumor gets large and starts interfering with other organs around it, for example the gallbladder, the kidney, the liver, or stomach it goes undiagnosed.
Scientists are now researching a way to cure both of these problems. They are researching a pancreas transplant. Although it is still in its beginning stages of research, many scientists think that this will be a way to eliminate Diabetes and pancreatic cancer.

Three organisms with these Parts

Organisms that have a pancreas are organisms with backbones. For example cats and dogs are animals with both a pancreas and a backbone. Another animal with a pancreas is an elephant. The pancreas in all of these organisms work the same way as in a human. Animals with the pancreas can have the same diseases as humans do, for example there are animals that have diabetes and need insulin shots. Consequently humans are not the only organisms with a pancreas

Physical Characteristics

The pancreas is oblong and flat, similar to a flattened fish, or a dog's tongue. It is six to eight inches long, one and a half inches wide and one inch thick. Its color is a mixture of gray pink and yellow. It weighs about three ounces. In my research I couldn't find the texture, but from a picture it appears to be bumpy. These are the pancreas' basic characteristics.

Three Interesting Facts

The pancreas is an interesting part that is very helpful to your body but can have many faults. In my opinion there are many interesting facts but only three are breathtaking.
●To me these are the most interesting facts:
●Diabetes is a disease that would not happen if there were no pancreases.
●For an organ only 6 inches long it has such a big job.
●The pancreatic cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer death! I had never even heard of that before this project.

all those words and not a mention of BELASH?

Kirbopher

Quotenot a mention of BELASH?

Bleach has interesting artistic elements to it at least. There're points when the plot gets a bit bleh, since sometimes it also suffers from Dragon Ball elements, but Tite Kubo's artwork and character designs sre really stylized and interesting. Some of the characters are really forgettable, but the ones that stick out are done really well.

yeah, i agree with that wholeheartedly. It sucks that the gay fans of fma have tainted the reputation of the series. i loved the pseudo philosophy of the equivalent exchange, and the anime has some of the best plot twists i have ever seen. but i didn't really get into conquerors of shamballa =/

I remember enjoying them but then again I was like 8 back then.

I also enjoyed haruhi something something for some reason. It dosen't seem like the kind of thing I'd like but I did.

I love Tite Kubo's art, but I can say that as fucking bland as the cartoon is he couldn't have possibly had shit to do with it.

And I like FMA too somewhat, I love the characters and think their development is expertly done, but the sci-fi elements are like fruit salad, it's like they were making it up as they went along. The movie, CoS, was kool with me (though I had REALLY hoped for more martial arts action, because the series was amazing at fight choreography BUT WAS SO DAMN STINGY ABOUT IT), but CoS could only be enjoyed by fans. The series had so much shit piled into it, the movie wasn't accessible at all unless you had been following from the beginning.

I watched the FMA movie because I thought it would give the series a better ending. It didn't.
(I really didn't like the anime's ending: not sure if it's the same as the manga's)
