come on in the water's fine   if you don't know what IRC is, it's short for internet relay chat, and the way it works is like a mix of AIM and a forum.

download mIRC or go to the new chat page! see you there  

how to connect using mIRC:
1. type /server irc.rizon.net and hit "enter"
2. to pick a name, type /nick yourname
3. it's recommended to register your name so no one can take it. type /ns register password e-mail. activate it and use /ns identify password to identify yourself when you logon
4. type /join #thebackalleys to come in the channel!

it closed huh? that's .. weird. you can get mIRC (the original client) but i think it's a 30-day trial (but i do have a crack)

i'll set up a java client soon too so people that don't want to use the apps can just join through the website

it still works afterwards
but when you start the software it kindly asks "please register me" and then you just hit the "lol no" button and voila.

there's trivia and game bots, file server bots.. hmm. i could get one running if things keep being this active. we've had dozens of visitors today and wow this is just like when i used to waste so much time on irc a few years ago

simply type the word 'fish' while its in a channel and it floods the channel with corny crap jokes
