For some odd reason, Firefox has become an incredibly unstable browser for me. It keeps constantly crashing. :/ Some sites I can't even access anymore without Firefox having to just flat out crash. Does anybody know what might be causing this because I can't even access websites like Digg anymore.

do you have any weird plugins installed that you never manually installed yourself?

Oh, wretched ephemeral race ... why do you compel me to tell you what it would be most expedient for you not to hear? What is best of all is utterly beyond your reach: not to be born, not to be, to be nothing. But the second best for you is—to die soon.

A friend of mine has been pushing me to make this topic for a few days now. There have been quite a few "I'm gonna fight someone!" threads lately, so perhaps i can share my knowledge with you. And, before i being...i'm no expert, at all. Maybe someone has a similar situation going on, and i'd be more than happy to share my experiences, and hopefully it can help.

When i was in highschool, i was in a lot of fights. I never picked a fight, nor did i ever fight someone to feel better about myself, my title was "The Defender" (basically what my nerdy little buddies called me). My friends consisted of the overly nice, quiet kids that stayed after school and played Magic the Gathering. And, the cheerleaders.

I'll give you a little backround about my past, then i'll answer questions. I went to the middle and highschool in Buffalo NY (Not saying which specific high school i went too). When i was in middle school, i was a nerd. Plain and simple. I wore stupid clothes, i had a small circle of friends, i embarrassed myself every change i had, and i cried if i forgot my homework on the bus. Typical nerd.

I started high school pretty much the same way. I grew up a little, got a new waredrobe, but i was still the weird kid that had like...4 friends. Only this time, the kids that picked on me were getting a little more aggressive. My first fight, i lost, obviously. Things were different now. ALL of the changed, during the summer before 10th grade. And, to be honest, this change was sparked by an episode of NOVA that i watched on channel 21. I was going through a rough time (like any highschooler), lots of work, physical changes, etc. So i decided i wanted a new image. A scary image, that would repel the aggressors, and hopefully draw a new crowd of friends.

I decided to check out Hot Topics for the first time. It was different, but i liked it. I wanted to become different, inside and outside. I purchased some new clothes, accessories, boots, chains, and whatever. And i donned my "Gothic" appearance (I know what you're thinking...if i could call this stereotype something else, i would...but goth is all i can come up with, so bear with me here...).

Now that i had a new exterior to look at. (also, cleared up my acne, new hair style, etc. I was HOT)
I began training myself. Becoming physcially fit, and mentally focused. I took several classes of martial arts (i'm no colored belt or anything, just some 30 free trails, and some books i bought). I felt stronger, and more able to defend myself, and others.

10th grade starts. And i'm a whole new me. And just as i suspected, the jockey kids left me alone, my nerdy friends were still my best friends, and i was welcomed among the other goth kids at our school, (there were only 6 of us...but still good friends). My reputation started to grow as i started fighting those who threated my friends, instead of watching, helplessly. I was never expelled from school for fighting, because i explained the situation to my principal. I told him "You cannot control every student. Sometimes you need students to teach students what is right and wrong. And sometimes, by force."

As time went on, i continued to fight strictly to protect my friends. I've won some, i've lost a few, but as long as my friends were safe, that was what mattered. My fighting ended when i dropped out of school, and went to a community college. I still talk to my nerdy friends (and some of the guys i use to fight), every once in a while.

Now, i don't expect this thread to become massively popular, but if you have any questions regarding bullies, getting into fights, defending yourselfs, or just trying to get into shape, feel free to ask. I've dealth with it all, and hopefully i can help out.

I'd consider using Chrome but I love my ad blocker plug-in. >_>
