just like microsoft, they can afford to lose that kind of money. and they will make it back in no time

all the wii and 360 fanboys can giggle like a bunch of middle school faggots about the ps3 now, but they designed it with the future in mind. sony is in the electronics marketing business for a reason. hardware wise it is the most powerful of the three consoles, and over time people will be shelling out the cash to purchase them - not only because they play games, but they double as blu-ray players, sometimes even more affordable than basic entertainment systems.

sony only has to sell 10-15 million more consoles to outsell the xbox and become a valid competitor against the wii, and their sales have gone up since launch day. don't forget the ps1 sold over 100 million consoles worldwide, a mere shadow of what the wii and 360 have sold combined.
now that blu-ray is the format of the future the console has a lot going for it. and as prices drop they're only going to sell more of them.
i just think it's really stupid when nintendo and xbox fanboys dismiss a company that has selling power in the entertainment industry far more reaching than microsoft and especially nintendo
