Holy gamoly.
The pencil in the ear canal pierce.
Headshots - not that John picked up freelance photography in any way, shape or form...Plentiful dead bodies everywhere. Perhaps close to thirty to fifty unfortunate casualties.

Edit: à la Reddit - 128 kill count - felt like 1000.

I winced when the gal/Ruby who ASLs was in that eerie video close up of her head - I thought we were going to see her headshot up close.
The art gallery is ruined and awesome breaking glass installation - like, done in studio? Or asked for permission? That's one way to take down the installation. I liked the two bullet holes in the wall in the gallery.
Our boy the dog better not die.
Goosebumps when the park onlookers stopped/froze at the manager's phone call.
Hilarity ensues - both from line drops and bizarre tension on sacred ground in the establishment(?).
And the staircase tumble of Keanu and Common/doubles.
The cars. His house.

Edit: Can't wait to see how he escapes from everyone. I would like our Russian truce to help us hide since there was no shot towards them when every cellphone was ringing up - or I'm blind.
Poor John. The scream he made whilst back in the business? I feel ya, fictional John. You promised your spouse yet went back, promising you were done for good. Yep - it went all Kingsmen on me with the maps, tailored suit, and guns.

Reddit's saying that it's Winston's marker at the end that he hands to John.

Could not have said it better - the film was indeed a show and don't tell narrative.
By far my favourite - and wished I could have stayed to listen to all of the music rolling through the end credits.

Edit: It is indeed brutal.
I personally prefer the first one to this head busting mesh. Does it glorify something bad here? Yes. I love the gun shots and awesome reloads - I diddley did. The lines for me are blurred since I was gleeful excited and the adrenaline pumped nauseating louder and faster. Vroom vroom and bang bang crash.
is it better than the Lego Batman movie?

saw it on sunday, it was really good. pretty much everything an action sequel should be- larger-scale, higher-intensity, and world-building. one thing i really appreciate about these movies is its capacity to expand upon the underworld that the assassins live in, you get a sense for just how much detail and planning went into the film

i dont quite agree on a "lack of narrative" unless you're just not paying attention to what's going on (bad guy exploiting the continental's guidelines and amenities to get his way for the sake of a power grab) but script-wise i'd say it was on equal ground with its predecessor, snappy and concise- but what this definitely had over the original was the level of visual stimulus. colour and lighting was phenomenal, and some of their setpieces (like the light and mirror exhibit at the end) were so fuckin cool and inventive for the action, it's easy to be sucked into what's happening

overall it was pretty excellent, it did exactly what i wanted, which was expanding on a lot of things they touched on in the original, continue showing john himself as a mortal being despite his capabilities, and doubling down on the kill count
didn't want ruby rose's character to die, she was cool as heck and felt maybe a bit underutilized as far as her role in the action went
[12:59 AM] elm: yea honestly if you dont want to cum on elmer fudds bald head whats wrong with you
[07:49.46] <+slack> cum erupts from the dick at an alarming rate

Le nihilistic sentimental self-aware pastiche antihero action neo-noir revenge movie is kind of a tired genre but this wasn't too offensive an addition to it. That is my thought, because this movie defies more than one, and that's what I kind of dislike about lite-pomo action movies. It's like critiquing an (admittedly funny and entertaining) shaggy dog story.

Definitely agree with Blu in that the criminal underworld in these movies is really good, and a more interesting plot mechanic (and main character) than its protagonist, whose contractions kinda got old after the first hour in the first movie. It looked nice, but like the mirror hall shout-out at the end, it's also not new, or terribly interesting, because it wants to be an upper mid-brow Hong Kong action crime thriller and Crank/Taken at the same time, to make itself equally palatable to audiences of both.

Laurence Fishburne was my favorite part.

saw ch 2 in theatre then went back to see the first a couple days ago, ch 2 does an amazing job keeping the adrenaline up and showcasing the finer points of point shooting/center axis relock/ modern technique

I also enjoy how vulnerable John is as a character despite his accomplishments and his never ending string of victories in every situation, he seems relatable
