What is Inktober?

i dont use pencils ever because the lines are WEAK and i am STRONG so really ive been doing this all year

but seriously why is this a thing, it sounds like some kind of plot cooked up by instagram, this would also explain why all the smug asshats in my schools art building were walking around with expensive ass fineliners today

Inktober so far...starting out strong and then suddenly throwing myself into the deep end from Day 3 because I'm using this month to up my ink game (and stray away from the pencil stuff) - I obviously start mucking up and learning that ink is a PAIN to deal with if you have no patience. Those smudges :'(
