the media wants people to think the election is close so that people will tune in more and watch their shows so they can get ratings. in reality, romney really doesn't have much of a chance at all. statistically speaking if he loses ohio - and he will - he would have to pull off a miracle by winning practically every other swing state, when he is only leading in 1 or 2 from time to time.

-Not only marijuana legalization in Washington, but also Colorado. Massachusetts legalized medicinal marijuana too.
-Maine, Maryland, Washington (like you said) legalized Gay Marriage too. Minnesota struck down a ban on gay marriage too.
-First disabled senator, first openly gay senator, first pansexual senator
-First hindu-american congressperson, first japanese-born congressperson
-New Hampshire has a fully female cabinet, including governor and senators.

Also, a very overlooked story, Puerto Rico voted in favor of statehood! Obama supports it (so did Romney) so interesting to see how that goes. Which do you like better for 51 stars?

i probably missed some stuff. but overall i'd say it was a huge day for progressive victories
