The only reason I still have an Xbox 360.

I always thought this was the closest thing to an old school shooter in the modern age as you can get.  It has good weapon variety, fast linear gameplay with depth, just the right difficulty, and lots of blood.  The only thing I hate about this series is that the games can be glitchy, not exactly the best polished.

And I'm looking forward to Gears 3 for this reason, it seems like a very well polished an non rushed game.
How about you guys?

Never liked playing them online much. Frankly the first one was all about who could do summersaults while firing at the hip with the shotgun the fastest. The second one has much of that too, but more grenade mine planting and still lots of senseless rolling around and shooting at the hip, ect.

Not to say its not fun, but only every once in awhile.

I used to play it a ton... in all honesty shooting from the hip is what the weaker players would do. Even with the shotgun to be the most effective you need to aim for a split second. But yeah I played a ton of gow [online].

I'm mad I missed the recent beta due to college though
