i lived in Boardman for 4 months  with my gf to save money for NY (very cheap living in Boardman). We were supposed to stay longer but living there was driving us up a wall. Also thanks, after doing nothing for a while, it feels good to do stuff again

I'm trying to start up a journal comic. It's called PLG cuz we moved to a neighborhood in Brooklyn called "Prospect Lefferts Gardens". Here's the first two pages I did and the logo thingy.

Hopefully I don't give up in a week. http://plg-comic.tumblr.com

I lived in the Baltimore metro area until I was 12. It was a mix of very dense suburban row-home housing and townhomes depending on the neighborhood. Then I moved to a small town in NE Pennsylvania, very rural, very boring. Also went to college in a fairly small town, but at least there was plenty to do. Now as of yesterday, my new home is gonna be in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn a few blocks from Prospect Park. Just signed for it yesterday and the only way I can fuck it up is if something goes wrong with my credit. The area has tons of cute brownstones and big apartment buildings. Big Caribbean population there, lots of Jerk Chicken restaurants around.

My girlfriend was excited about this the other day when she saw stuff for it, and now she's excited you guys have a thread for it. The animation looks pretty great from the half second available to see.

At the Clinton/Biden rally a few days before the election.

And here's Clinton and Biden. We got sat behind them, directly across from BLINDING stagelights. Clinton don't give a fuck, he just sat down in that chair after finishing his speech and just watched

I made Ixintro in a random word generator when I was 14. Pixmintro is from Lenko who used to make fake proper names out of ix like "Casey Pixmintro", "Brian Fixintro", I can't really remember anymore. But yeah I liked Pixmintro cuz also for some reason shit tons of people thought Ixintro was Lxintro cuz fonts

i wonder what puerto rico's political atmosphere is like. i would imagine it being a blue state, but not by much.

depends, many puerto ricans tend to be democrats, as there are more puerto ricans in NY than there are in PR. NY is a very blue state. Compared to cubans, who are often republican, especially here in florida.

Yeah, I've been reading up on Puerto Rico's main political parties, the two most successful ones are the New Progressive Party and the Popular Democratic Party. It'd be a pretty blue state is admitted. I'm surprised Republicans are as cool with the idea of them becoming a state, it'll shift the Senate and electoral college further in Democrats favor. They wouldn't even let DC become a state because of those reasons a few times

I just realized it looks like I said they'd be blue just because of the names of their parties which is dumb. I mean based on their ideals and voting history and demographic make-up they'd be blue.

I'd also be cool with DC becoming a state too, or being rejoined with either Maryland or Virginia so they have representation in govt.

Also, more things about Puerto Rico. It'll get 6 congressional votes, 2 senators natch, and both the Democratic Platform and the Republican Platform explicitly voiced support for statehood this year. Obama visited there last year, becoming the first US Pres to visit in 50 years. Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum went there during the primaries to court their delegates. They awarded theirs to Mitt Romney after Rick Santorum was an asshat and said they'd need to make English their official language before they could get statehood. Although Mitt Romney would later go on to say English should be the official language of the US, he at least didnt say it to their faces...

You guys in Washington are lucky, an ounce of weed is a pretty good amount! Taxation is a smart idea, hope it'll catch on nationally, quite a bit of money to be made. The actual price of weed would go down regardless due to the black market being scrubbed out so no fuss about the tax.

I'm also curious as how the administration will treat it with Obama in a second term, I did feel he copped out in the first term purely cuz he wanted to avoid it upon seeking reelection. Now there's no stakes! There's also a federal court case coming up where a bunch of patients have sued the DEA to reschedule weed.
