The books were better, but the movie was better than I could have hoped for. Especially since they started making it before the last book was even written.
I wish I could see it today but my theater is dumb here and won't get it for a few weeks. Also I have to work tonight so I can't go anywhere else to see it. Hopefully I get to see it sometime this week but no one around here wants to fuckin see it cuz they'd all rather see fucking Vampires Suck or some bullshit like that.

Saw it a few days ago, i really enjoyed it, i was surprised at how much was cut from the book, then again it was 6 books long and movie was only a couple of hours, so i dont know how much better they could have possibly compressed the story anyway. I want my own Ellen Wong's portrayal of Knives

Saw it with my girlfriend last night.
I liked the movie, but I still don't think Cera was the right person to play Scott Pilgrim. I don't mind the guy, I just don't really think he was a good match for the character.
I was impressed by how much they cut out of the movie and still manage to keep it cohesive. I guess most of the stuff they cut out (most notably whole characters) was just in there for extra drama in the book that wasn't really necessary for the book.
She said she would see and hear Cera in her nightmares that night.

it was a really cool movie. the plot wasn't exactly generic as much as the sequence of events were (like OH I WANT THIS GIRL I NEED TO FIGHT FOR HER THEN IT ALL WORKS OUT) but i think the whole point was it being whacky quirky and stylish

Ramona is nearly robotic and completely lacks any appeal in the movie. Maybe the graphic novels are better and have character and plot development that makes you appreciate the movie better, but I sort of doubt it. Dur hur she has colorful hair, this is an endearing personality trait.
