Deciding to post some work here again, I made a flash earlier this year for a school computer fair. Its a rushed project, my first finished flash done in 3 weeks, won 2nd place.

The version I made was really a sample technique i figured out in fruity loops. I had to use "original" music according to the fair rules. I didn't have many songs i coulda worked with nor could i had used one of shadows songs. I was allowed to use samples with permission, so i emailed Mteden and they gave me the okay. I know the song to most people was "annoying" or "repetitive" but I didn't have much time to make another song.
You should have shown the dude in the ship a little more.

Dont try to take shortcuts like tweening his arm in the beginning when it goes behind his head on that side view. It appears he has flippers for arms
Everything has weight. EVERYTHING. Think of the weight between objects and space and how they react based on their movement and on each others movement. The rope claw shit seemed like the claw was weightless.
If something is flying through the air there will be resistance against them. You remembered it for the clothing because you love anime but also try to remember it for the surfboard thing and also the rope for the claw shit.
Also dont have yourself as some gay fucking character that beats shit up its really gay

It's not a bad animation but I have to agree the music got really annoying and it make me not want to watch the rest, but I held out to the end to see how the animation held up. I think you used a little too many tweens in parts that could have used more frame by frame. The biggest culprit to this issue was when the rockets were coming towards him from a front view and it was just a circle kinda bouncing from one side of the screen to the next. Since its kinda anime, you could have used those "moving speed line" animations that are used for speed emphasis for those parts?? idk. Still you tried to put some spins on the way he jumped around and flung one back for a sec so that was nice. Just keep practicing and maybe add more things like sounds, weather effects, less shortcuts on the animation and those odd cuts that imply action happened but we "didn't see it'. Btw I just noticed this is Grinachi haha, it's still a shame my character Skitzo never got to fight and kill him ;B
Yeah, I really had to improvize and use alot of shortcuts, not to mention i didnt know how to pull off the rockets so i winged it lol. I definatly learned alot from making the flash, especally how the music can make a difference on how people take it. I find it hard to motivate myself to make a flash (shadowfox definatly knows this..) but next time when i work on another animation, its definatly not going to be rushed.
