okay so i started drawing/painting again, here's what i've done so far:

First try, a peach:

Second try, a pumpkin:
Third try, a wine bottle (wine lock), and yeah, fuck the LL blablabla:

Pretty nice, lines are a bit jigglywigglypigglysmigglehigglyriggly for the bottle.
Pumpkins my favorite out of the three the lines work for it, has the lumps and everything it would have. The shape of the pumpkin's nice to not the usual basketball look.

Fourth try, a person (first really really bad attempt at drawing a person):

Fifth try, same thing again (second bad attempt with no detail or anything yet, but i spent too much time on this thing so i probably will start working on it some other day again.):

Wiggly lines aside, since they'll get better the more you draw, I see that you do attempt to convey 3D-ness using coloring and shading. I really like the textures of the pumpkin and the bottle~

However, I'm under this impression that you start off strong and detailed, then tire and get sloppy near the end. The tops of the peach, pumpkin, and bottle look okay, but look flat around the bottom, a bit like those optical illusions that feature shapes that are 3D and 2D at the same time, depending on where you look.

Maybe it's a matter of consistency?

As for the person, I want to say that it's rtil, but I'm probably WAY off.

the colors in the first person are way too muddy

try to use a mix of warm and cool colors instead of just one or the other

you should always sketch out what you are going to draw before you actually begin inking and coloring

once i started doing that my art improved exponentially

ohhh that's what you mean by sketching. I thought you meant like, scribbling shit out of boredom.

I do that, actually, i sketch out my paintings before i draw them. I wouldn't know how to do it without that, but it's just REALLY rough. Basic shape + maybe light source and just a very small amount of detail. Don't think i should post that though, since it's just for myself to help me draw the picture as a whole and not kinda change perspective or shit when done with something (as you can probably see, i didn't do that for the peach!)
