getting divorced? why not head over to japan where you can pay $600 to have a divorce ceremony (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE65K3YV20100621?feedType=RSS&feedName=oddlyEnoughNews&rpc=69)!
QuoteFriends and family of the Fujii couple followed closely behind the rickshaws on foot, arriving at the "divorce mansion" for a ceremony where they smashed their wedding ring with a gavel, a gesture signifying the end of their partnership.
The gavel has a frog's head as frogs symbolize change in Japanese culture.
"When we smashed the ring together, I felt like "oh, this is the end of it, really" and my heart and soul felt renewed. Now I feel I can have a new life and start all over again," said Mr. Fujii.
oh god
oh god oh god oh god
HAHAHAHAHAHAhfyrdtesdry
lol japs are so stupid
I'd use an obama gavel

i like this idea
i still dont really understand why they have a ceremony to drink tea either
they have a ceremony for just about anything.
That's funny!! :] I like how the reason the couple are divorcing is because they "SPENT TOO MUCH MONEY ON FRIVIOLUS THINGS"
Quote from: MarcKI'd use an obama gavel
i'd use a gavel shaped like a coin purse
i'll leave that to soak in for a few seconds
genuinely surprised the ceremony doesnt involve bukkake
Haha, the gavel looks like something you could put together after a trip to an arts and crafts store
25 couples in a year doesn't make much of a trend. granted now i need to go and check this place out. more amusing to me is that posing as a pastor to marry couples is an actual job. or that shotgun weddings are so common that many use the term celebratory wedding instead. marriage is fun in japan.
it sounds like divorce might be fun, too. you get to smash things with a frog gavel
the japanese always know how to end things with a... bang
i'm so sorry
