Wikileaks has obtained and decrypted this previously unreleased video footage from a US Apache helicopter in 2007. It shows Reuters journalist Namir Noor-Eldeen, driver Saeed Chmagh, and several others as the Apache shoots and kills them in a public square in Eastern Baghdad. They are apparently assumed to be insurgents. After the initial shooting, an unarmed group of adults and children in a minivan arrives on the scene and attempts to transport the wounded. They are fired upon as well. The official statement on this incident initially listed all adults as insurgents and claimed the US military did not know how the deaths ocurred. Wikileaks released this video with transcripts and a package of supporting documents on April 5th 2010 on http://collateralmurder.com (http://collateralmurder.com)

wikileaks is a great site and organization, their existence is important and it's telling that the american government and many others are looking to try and shut them down/block them. they're already blocked in australia and china
It's saddening to see how eager they were to shoot, they were in no immediate danger and wanted to shoot for the sake of killing. He wants the man to pick up his "weapon" so that he can shoot at him again. Makes me wonder how many more of these scenarios there are out there that have yet to be uncovered.
i saw this threads name and thought it was the song from princess and the frog too

supposedly it has been blocked in china, russia, thailand, north korea, australia, zimbabwe, israel and other countries at one point in time or anotha
well it doesn't really matter whether it's blocked in north korea or not since no civilian has access to the internet or a computer much less

yeah the soldiers themselves seemed terribly sadistic on top of their fucked shoot first conduct.

It must just be human nature to be violent.

they're trained to act like that. the longer they spend there, the more numb to it they become. it's hard for a lot of them to come back home and live a normal life after being in a war

They're trained to be soldiers. Trained to kill. They aren't trained to be police, which is the job they've been given.
if there were a draft i\\\'d dodge it
or at least say i object morally to killing so that i\\\'d work in some other department
sorry im gay
Join the army we'll turn you into a complete fucking asshole.
i'm sure getting shot at from out of nowhere every once in a while and always having to be suspicious of everyone you see because there's no way to tell which one is an insurgent before they shoot at you has nothing to do with it
