Anyone who is a huge fan of Scott Pilgrim knows about the movie coming out and the trailer for it was just released. The comics themselves are ok, but with Edgar Wright directing it looks like the movie will be much better.

but that aside, i'm looking forward to that. I haven't really heard of scott pilgrim and i don't know the source material but from the looks of it it's probably gonna be good.

The cliché "love at first sight" beginning made me gag, then the middle action and visual stuff seemed cool, then the simple talking/acting came back and I gagged.
The movie's slogan is "an epic of epic epicness". I can tell that is a bad sign of its basic dialogue and acting, but it also promises "epic" action and visuals which I may like...
Final conclusion: I need more info before I decide to watch it. Hopefully a better trailer will be released.

this is all the comics are so you can't knock it for not being faithful to the source material
seriously the action/fight scenes just come out of nowhere and then it's back to slice of life romantic comedy

im glad that edgar wright is directing this
mostly because it sorta fits his type of films that mix genres together, like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz
anyways more and more good things are coming from the film and before i had sorta really low expectations for it and other than the tagline i think i have some hope for it
i think he'll balance the action and romantic comedy a lot more than the books do, especially if he's covering all six
i mean with the books you usually get 10 pages of action/fighting and then the other 200 are just slice of life 'college dropout band guy' stuff
Yeah I remember how the action in the first book came out of fucking NOWHERE, particularly the magic stuff and how suddenly Scott Pilgrim has always been the best fighter in Toronto, when reading, I was like "wtf what???"
