Title: something that bothers me
Post by: PocketIllust on February 21, 2010 11:56 PM
ok lets get right down to business.

In the 6th grade, I was diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome.   I have a pretty hard time talking to people and I'm pretty reclusive.   almost everything i do is awkward, or just plain strange.   I hate loud noises and can't stand concerts.   I can get so into something it almost grows into an obsession.   Basically, I'm a average high functioning autistic teenage

but here's the problem

apparently some people are using their disabilities as an excuse for their stupidity and ignorance, especially on the internet.   I believe that is not the case.   You're stupid because you're stupid, not because you have some kind if social disorder.   I act the way I act online not because of my disability, but because of my own idiocy.

It just really bothers me that people can just use that as an excuse, you know.

In conclusion:
tl;dr people with AS shouldn't blame their disorder for being a dumbass on the internet blah.
