Too many Pokemon too soon... And a lot of the newer Pokemon don't even look like Pokemon anymore, if that makes any sense; Like, either they're trying too hard or being lazy.

The li'l dude is cute, though.

That's one of the few "ok" new pokemon, but seriously alot of these new pokemon are so bad.

These pokemon made me loose faith that anything good will come out of the new games.

But the 3 I picked out, they're just fucking stupid.
Like a Bell and a Balloon? Sure you can make em all nice looking, but doesn't change the fact that a balloon or a bell is a horrible idea for a Pokemon.

That being said, they should have limited the amount of pokemon they added to each generation so they would look nicer AND have better ideas.

Haha, I sometimes think that as well.

This one still baffles me to no end.

(https://thebackalleys.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pokemonelite2000.com%2Fsprites%2Fdpmfa%2Fdpmfa415.png&hash=52ae4d78cc5bc3660e4f70916934530efe0b3abb)

I have to say, I'm curious about the trainer designs for the next generation though. I haven't played Pokemon since forever, and some of the trainers have weird outfits and hairstyles that're just as mleh as the new gen Pokemon (like this one (http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/8/84/Fantina.png)), but there are a few interesting ones with each game. I think as a whole in regards to designs, there're a lot of hit-or-misses.

For instance, the Gold/Silver remakes... Comparing the original (left) trainer you play as to the new one (right).

As for the gym leader Morty, to the left is the original design and to the right is the new one. His new design is actually reminiscent of Ghost-type Pokemon to some extent this time.

Quote from: lenkabiscaall the pokemon games have a good mix of great and shitty designs imo

people are just fond of red/blue cuz its what they grew up with and the designs are a little simpler

Well not just that, there weren't 500 some pokemon back then. Like honestly, how do they expect someone to actually try and get all 500. I mean 151 difficult in its own, it jsut defeats one of the major achievements of the game by making it almost unattainable.

Have you not played any of the new ones? At all?

Wait do you actually play to try and collect all the animals instead of building a robust team of specialty bred monsters for the intent of kicking peoples asses with them?

MY GOD MAN.

Well yeah I generally just build the best team I can get, but you'd think they'd make the flagship objective of the game somewhat obtainable.
I tried once and said fuck it at like 40.

in saphire/emerald you could get 5 stars, one for defeating all trainers, winning the league, catching all pokemon etc.
and when you get all 5 stars idk what happens maybe another certificate from prof. oak?

it was a bad catchphrase anyway

"gotta kill all the gyms" would be a more accurate one.
