I'll see it purely out of curiosity but I really doubt it's as "jaw-dropping" as some reviews have stated :/ Roger&Ebert review even said "Good luck in getting a ticket before February." and "Once again, he has silenced the doubters by simply delivering an extraordinary film. There is still at least one man in Hollywood who knows how to spend $250 million wisely."
Hate to say it but it's these kinds of reviews that make me go, "Hmm, okay I'll watch it ... just to know if its really any good".
(I still think the aliens in the pictures look too plastic or shiny though).
I feel that I will go into the theater and watch 2 hours of CGI and be given allota political bullshit.

just came out of the movies from watching it.
I tought it was brilliant. The scenery was very beautiful and the story is very interesting. The designs of the characters are a bit odd but you start liking them after a few minutes. Its about an alien culture of blue people with tails who are very connected to nature and stuff and you get to like them trough the movie.and Mankind wants to pretty much take over their homeworkd to get their hands on a rare substance.

I saw it in 3D and was very impressed by the visual effects. But I could not stop laughing whenever any of the characters opened their goddamn mouths because everything they said was either unnecessary to say so fucking cliched that I couldn't NOT laugh. So basically I was laughing loudly at inappropriate times in the movie and the rest of the audience had their serious faces on for this VISIONARY WORK OF ART. All in all my impression was that it was Pocahontas in Space.
