A part of me wants it to happen but another part just says "No, leave it alone". Only if they get Richard Williams to come back or at least be the animator to Roger then maybe...but if they even DARE to make this thing motion capture like the rest of Zemeckis's recent films, I will avoid this like the plague.

I loved the first film (except for that one extremely memorable scene with some cartoon shoe), but a sequel? Now? I'd rather it not get made.

and has richard williams helping SOMEHOW i will see it.


but zemeckis has had a boner for cgi lately. and not even creative cgi. brown realistic cgi. so i get the feeling this wont be compelling and roger is going to be a computer animated rabbit with 2 trillion 3d hairs.

why what did he do
he did what he does on every movie - go way over budget and not plan anything. richard williams doesn't use storyboards, he goes off the script, he doesn't listen to people, he's stubborn, he gets lost in the animation. he's incredibly talented and creative, but he has no sense of leadership. if you put him at the head of it you end up with the tragic story of thief and the cobbler. 29 years of painstaking work for an hour and a half of the best animation ever seen with bad pacing and a lackluster story attached to its side.

richard williams was fired partway through the making of roger rabbit for doing exactly these things. thankfully he was still recognized for his work.
