what's your favorite fighting game?

for me it's probably Dalkstalkers, i used to love the game as a kid but i haven't played it in a while. I do remember all the characters though and they're all amazing and nicely made.

I also like Def Jam Fight For NY, but I don't know if that game classifies as a fighting game or a wrestling game.

^for everyone who doesn't know what darkstalkers is. You can download Mame and the rom, or if you have a playstation just get darkstalkers 3, it's the same game i think.

soul calibur was really good til the boobs and asses got so exaggerated that you couldn't ignore them any longer

Smash bros series. the first two have a couple of bugs/flaws as well as the third but they seem to fix some of it each time they make a new one
plus it has so much bonus shit and collectibles it is practically impossible to get all the stuff in the game 100%

Cel damage was a ridiculously fun cartoon slaughter. It was fighting in cars and you picked up rockets and hammers and guns n shit the multiplayer was probably as good or slightlyh better than brawl

they kinda fucked up brawl by making it slower/floatier and making some characters' smashes really weak so you'd have to wait till your opponent is at like 200 to KO them. the massive roster makes up for that though mainly because of

tekken

My dad really liked PowerStone, but I don't remember too much other than tossing stuff from across the room and scavenging for jewels
For this type of fighter, I would also suggest Kung Fu Chaos

I wouldn't really consider Cel Damage to be a fighting game because well it's a drive and shoot/chop/shred/vaccuum game.
You could throw Twisted Metal and Rogue Trip too then if this was the case.

I guess my favorite would be Super Smash Bros Melee/Brawl because they're enjoyable, jump-in-and-play multiplayer games.
If we're talking traditional fighters then I guess Tekken (specifically 3) would be my pic because I grew up from 2 to Tag Tournament

i had this game.. i might even still have it although i believe i threw it away with all my windows 95 stuff. the people that made this game had a few others bundled with my first computer, a windows 95 aptiva. i was never very good @ battle beasts but i did play it a lot. i wish i could remember the other games they made.

My fav's DOA3 for the xbox, best graphics for the time, fastest-paced for the time, included the excersize mode, letting you learn the crap out of the moves, I got too good at the game though, So everybody switched to Tekken.
The best part is kicking your enemies down an infinite series of plateaus.
