gonna start off with some concept art for my final uni project next year. it'll involve a girl, a gorilla, a flying bike, and a restaurant
its a fairly simple plot the gorilla steals loads of food and hordes it in his neon jungle so the girl (a waitress) sets off to retrieve it
the gorilla looks awesome but his leg is so tiny haha
hmm i think the hands and feet need a little work, but i love his design and colors. he looks really fluffy
thanks guys. yeah im gonna sort the anatomy out as time goes by, i got pretty lazy on the hands.
theres a few things to be added in, mainly the moon and the silhouette of the girl on her bike, as well as a few monkeys in the foreground
i was wondering if a texture would work, it usually looks nice on lineless stuff

only the car has a finalised design, theres also gonna be two thief/adventurer chicks in the car. the big mummy apparition is a 'curse' cos they stole some treasure which is a neon pyramid thing that totally isnt the triforce
i'll probably do the characters in flash and the BG in PS to give that sort of 'animated film screenshot' look. this is either gonna turn out amazing or horrific so any advice is welcome!

the old guy was made in PS using a technique i've seen mentioned a lot in tutorials where you use the magic wand tool to make outlines and then simply fill em in. it was kinda impractical at first but then i got used to it. its cool for simple designs but i dont get how some people are able to do massive pieces with it
the chick is my attempt at a 'modern comic book' style ie invincible but it looks more like anime probably because shes pretty with big eyes idk
and uh the cedric is just me fucking around with night shades in flash

in that jseed to lenko style drawing you used pink and red (wine) for the character, and then grays for the shadows.
In that hawayan babe you picked a color for her skin and just darkened that color a bit. It somehow makes the drawing instantly feel like she´s outdoors as oposed to the first drawing.Idk I just think it works nicelly. take advantage of that as much as you can.
I love the way you drew that girl. I dont have a problem with her lips tho In fact Ive been thinking of doing less defined lips myself. It is just lovely
