I made this with love!

this is my first shot at 3d animation. It was actually loads of fun!
I feel like autodesk is to 3dsmax what adobe is to flash. they just dont know how to make a nice interphase.

anyway I hope you like it!

comment/critique?

p.s. watch it on windows media player. Otherwise it could have a few issues.

yes, 3dsmax's interface is really unfriendly. it takes a while to be able to get around in it. maya is much more animator friendly, and it was created with animation in mind, unlike 3dsmax.

the short was good for a first. i'm sure you're wrestling with the curve editor, the animation was jumpy at parts. that is something the software makes it hard to overcome. i saw the same problems in the camera. i know that being in a 3d environment is really freeing in terms of posing the camera, but don't move it around too much. stage your shots and keep the camera as still as possible. i'd only use camera movement if it's going to strengthen a shot, not just because you can move the camera.

p.s. it works fine on vlc, too
